Connecticut Lyric Opera presents Abigail Adams, a contemporary two-act opera by Judge Richard Owen drawn from the letters of the Adams family, bringing to life the woman who urged John Adams and the nation's early leaders to "remember the ladies". Exploring liberty, conscience, family and civic responsibility, the work is presented in celebration of America 250. Each performance is preceded by a lecture by historian Dr. Cornelia H. Dayton. Tickets $30; free for students, with a limited number of free tickets for each performance.
